Cadet & Youth Programs (14-19 Years)
At Mona Vale, the emphasis for our Junior members is on having fun, meeting new friends, socialising, participating in water & beach events on Sunday mornings and for the more serious, competing at carnivals against junior members from other surf life saving clubs. Once Junior members obtain their Surf Rescue Certificate (usually as U/14’s in nippers) they become Probationary Lifesavers and can participate in beach patrols. When junior members turn 15 they train for their Bronze Medallion to become a Lifesaver.
Social activities for our Junior members are organised during the surf life saving season as well as during the winter months with regular get togethers. These include, movie/meal evenings, touch football afternoons, laser shooting at Zone 3 etc.
